Mr Kieren Darcy, FRCOphth

 
 

Mr Kieren Darcy is Medical Director of Vision Care Clinic and Head of Corneal and Refractive Surgery at Bristol Eye Hospital, part of the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, UK. A highly regarded consultant eye surgeon, he specialises in laser vision correction, cataract surgery, and advanced corneal procedures.

Originally trained in general surgery and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Mr Darcy transitioned to ophthalmology in 2007. He was awarded the prestigious Harcourt Medal, recognising the top candidate worldwide in the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Consultant examinations. He completed subspecialty fellowships in corneal and refractive surgery in Bristol and at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne.

An honorary lecturer at the University of Bristol, he leads fellowship training, contributes to national refractive standards, and is actively engaged in clinical research and innovation.
