AUSCRS is affiliated with the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS) and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), the Asian Pacific Association of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (APACRS) as well as other peer societies around the world.
AUSCRS continues to grow as a society with its core aim of being a committed, special-interest group of ophthalmologists interested in education and dissemination of knowledge, new techniques and exploring the boundaries of their specialty.

For more than 30 years, AUSCRS has been dedicated to advancing excellence in cataract and refractive surgery through world-class education, innovation and collaboration. Since its inception, our Society has grown into a vibrant community where knowledge is shared, lifelong friendships are formed and the next generation of ophthalmologists is supported and inspired.
What makes AUSCRS unique is not only the exceptional scientific program we deliver, but also the culture of generosity, mentorship and camaraderie that has become the hallmark of our Society. We are proud to foster an environment where experienced surgeons, emerging leaders and trainees learn from one another in a spirit of openness, respect and friendship.
As President and Vice-President, it is our privilege to lead a Society that continues to evolve while remaining true to the vision established by our founders.
