GETTING THERE

The Sunshine Coast is easily accessible for both interstate and international travelers.

By plane, you can fly directly into Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY), which offers frequent services from major Australian cities such as Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and others. From the airport, it's just a short 20-minute drive to the Novotel Sunshine Coast, making your journey smooth and convenient.

For those arriving from overseas, the most efficient option is to fly into Brisbane Airport (BNE), Australia’s major international gateway.

From Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast is approximately a 1.5-hour drive north via scenic highway routes, with rental cars readily available at the airport.

Alternatively, hotel transfer services and shuttle options are also available for a comfortable and hassle-free journey to the conference venue.

For our 2026 AUSCRS conference, we are thrilled to announce a complete takeover of all the accommodation rooms at the stunning Novotel Sunshine Coast, ensuring an exclusive and immersive experience for all attendees. 

Nestled along the picturesque coastline, the Novotel offers modern comfort, exceptional amenities, and breathtaking views—perfect for blending professional development with relaxation.  

Please note that the AUSCRS Program runs from Wednesday 15th July through to Saturday 18th July. The Gala Dinner is on the Saturday night.

Also, please note that AUSCRS has 'purchased' all rooms at the Novotel for the four nights - Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat - and will be selling these rooms to AUSCRS attendees at a discounted rate.    As such, you MUST purchase the FOUR nights as a minimum when you book. 

If you wish to arrive earlier than the Wednesday, or stay on after the Saturday, you can request these extra nights when you book your four night package.   These extra nights will also be available at the AUSCRS discounted rate.

Resort Rooms - King or Queen Beds - Garden view or Lagoon View

Enjoy natural bushlands or serene lagoon on your private patio or balcony. Each room features contemporary design with space and comfort in mind. 

Resort Rooms offer tea & coffee making facilities as well as bar fridge and bathrooms consist of a shower bath combination with single vanity. (Please note, additional bedding is not available​​​​).


Resort Rooms are available on both ground and upper levels, subject to availability.

Room rates are $330 per night for Garden View Rooms or $350 per night for Lagoon View Rooms.

Executive Rooms - King or 2 x Double Beds - Garden view or Lagoon View. 

Step into comfort and style in an Executive Room, designed for relaxation. Enjoy natural bushlands on your private patio or balcony. These light, spacious rooms offer a coastal ambiance with clean lines and contemporary décor. 

Facilitites include tea and coffee, as well as a bar fridge. Bathrooms consist of a walk in shower with single vanity. (Please note additional bedding is not available).

Room rates are $450 per night for Garden View Rooms or $475 per night for Lagoon View Rooms.

One Bedroom Suite - Garden view or Lagoon View.

Create unforgettable memories in a spacious suite, thoughtfully designed to enhance your stay. Featuring a separate bedroom, a lounge and dining area, and a luxurious bathroom. This suite offers exceptional amenities, including a kitchenette, spa, and a private balcony or patio overlooking our natural bushlands or pristine lagoon.

Accommodating up to 4 people, it includes 1 King Bed and a 1 Double Sofa Bed. (Please note, additional bedding is available for an extra fee).

Room rates are $450 per night for Garden View Rooms or $475 per night for Lagoon View Rooms.

NB - Two-Bedroom Suites are a combination of a One-bedroom suite and adjoining Resort Room twin with dual key connecting main external door.

Overwater Bungalow

Indulge in an unforgettable and intimate experience perched on top of our lagoon.

Enjoy picturesque lagoon views where you'll find tranquillity in every moment. This retreat accommodates up to 2 people with 1 King Bed, providing the perfect escape for couples seeking relaxation and connection.

These Bungalows offer luxurious LEIF amenities, a spa and a private balcony. 

Architecturally designed with overwater walkway leading to to the suites featuring almost 5 metre high atrium ceilings, and spacious lounge area.  The living area has a flat screen TV and Wi-Fi.

Maximum sleeping capacity is 2 adults.

In the usual AUSCRS style, our 2026 Gala Dinner will again be one to remember….

Theme: "AUSCRS Biennale Carnevale di Venezia"

Join us for the AUSCRS Biennale Carnevale di Venezia, a celebration inspired by the legendary Venetian festival renowned worldwide for its elaborate masks, costumes, and vibrant atmosphere.

This enchanting evening will mark the culmination of an inspiring conference, blending the “Sounds of AUSCRS” with the captivating “Artistry of the Biennale”.

Attendees are invited to don exquisite masks (provided by AUSCRS as entry ticket) and immerse themselves in a night of music, art, and mystery—an unforgettable tribute to the timeless allure of Venice’s Carnevale.

Tickets are $195.00 per person and includes fabulous food, fabulous wine and fabulous fun.

Bookings can be done during the registration process.

What to wear?

Attendees are encouraged to embrace the festive spirit by wearing costumes that range from the opulent, historical styles of the 17th and 18th centuries—think elaborate gowns, intricate masks, and period accessories—to more casual, creative interpretations such as artist or painter attire, or even a gondolier’s look.

Whether you choose to don a stunning historical costume or a simple, artistic outfit, your transformation into Venice’s timeless mystique will add to the magic of the night. Don your mask (provided by AUSCRS) and prepare for an unforgettable celebration of artistry, music, and mystery.
