Dr. Lisa M. Nijm, MD, JD, is an internationally acclaimed corneal, cataract, and refractive surgeon, licensed attorney, and trailblazer in healthcare innovation. As founder and CEO of Warrenville EyeCare & LASIK, she brings a rare combination of surgical precision, legal acumen, and strategic foresight that has positioned her as a trusted leader and advisor across the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Her cross-disciplinary leadership has led to measurable industry impact. As Chief Medical Advisor, she was instrumental in guiding TruKera Medical through its acquisition by Bausch + Lomb. She continues to shape strategic direction as a Medical Advisory Board member for Azura Pharmaceuticals and Nordic Pharma. Dr. Nijm serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary and sits on the Board of Directors of the Cornea Society. She also recently completed her term with the American Academy of Ophthalmology Executives (AAOE). As CEO of Women in Ophthalmology (WIO), Dr. Nijm has driven transformative growth—elevating the organization into one of the top three largest ophthalmology meetings in the U.S.
