Dr Ron Stasiuk has international experience in cataract, corneal, refractive and Excimer laser surgery. He has lectured extensively both overseas and in Australia, as well as contributing to several books. He is in private practice at Vision Eye Institute, Blackburn South , Melbourne, which he founded.

He was one of the first ophthalmologists to perform Excimer laser surgery in Australia in 1991, and LASIK in Victoria in June 1996. He was the first in Australia to implant the diffractive multifocal IOL in 1990 and the ARRAY multifocal in October 1997.
